National event bumps? Predictions?

So what's the bump spot going to be for the Top Dragster shows at NHRA Nationals this year? How quick will the Top Sportsman bump be?

I'm going to say an average of 6.90's with Charlotte being the quickest in both classes. Houston could be another quick TD field.

The only thing keeping the bumps down will be the limit of 40 entries for a 32 car show.

i think the T/D show in Houston will be 6.70's since the divisional was almost in the .80's last year

Based on the 6.79 bump at the SportsNationals in No Problem this year and the almost guaranteed entry count of 40 cars vying for 32 spots, my guess would be 6.74. Should be lots of fun in any case, although I am quite sure I will remember quickly why I hated going to NHRA National events before.

I believe 7.0's till guys start getting their grade points. Heck thaere are a bunch of 7.20-7.30 Super Compers with 5-8 grade points waiting to gobble up the spots.

That will really show off the class' strong points. Being a National, I certainly hope that isn't the case.

Re grade point class swapping .... Well at least they'll have to pony up for /15 firesuits just so they can qualify in one or two races the whole year (at least in the D4 area).

Well, look at the registration page. there's only going to be 40 slots for TD/TS at the national events. There won't be stellar bumps, at least I don't think with only 40 cars coming. I'd say low 7.0's at best if it's a 32 car field, especially since the fields will probably be filled up by people who have run the divisional races. Charlotte will be filled rather quickly with people from D1, D2, D3 and D4 and D5 coming in. those with Grade level 5-8 will eat this up fast. Those of us that didn't hit any/very little races last year or even the year before won't even get close to being able to attend these.... Why only 40 slots?

Is there any info on if the field sizes? 16 or 32? All run?
