4:30 index / Heads up

Doesn't that still make it a bracket race? Like the idea, just curious about how it'll work. Is it first to stripe or closest to dial in (index)

it will be the first to the finish without going under the 4.30 index. We have decided to make the payout as follows.
1st $2,000
2nd $750
3rd-8th $125
number 1 qualifier $500
This means anyone who qualifies will get their money back from entry. Entry will be $125 which gets the driver and car in. I think it will be something different to try. I am in the works of putting together a possible series next year for the midwest.

sounds cool

Hey Doc:

What Kind of a pro tree are you running. .400, .500, or a 1.000 pro tree for the old folks? I remember a door car challenging a couple of dragsters on a reaction time contest at a exhibition race at Muncie a few years ago. The dragsters finished 2nd and 3rd.

If we go, how much do I need to spot you this time on the tree? . I still have both of your dollars...

Good luck with the race. It sounds like fun. We will see if what's up when the date is announced. It is nice to see a track promoting fast cars at a local track.

race dates

April 17 if weather allows, june 19, and oct 15. tried to fit it around any t/d race or jegs 32 so that people would not have conflicts. Plans are in the works for a 8 race series next year. Will be a membership fee but that gets the car and driver in the track with no added cost. Will come out to be about 50 per race if everything works out. Also trying to put it together with a charity to help raise money for kids with cancer. Something like one dollar from every ticket sold will go to the charity. Several large tracks here in the midwest have shown interest and have asked for proposals. I am currently trying to get this to them. hope to see as many people as possible show up to race. This will help determine if something like this could be put on at a larger scale. Remember if you don't qualify you are allowed to race in super pro which is also 2000 to win at muncie.

race conditions at muncie.

Dave does a excellent job at prep for the track. I have had some of my best 60ft times there. He really enjoys the fast cars and wants to cater to us. He is planning on having 3 time trials. The last 2 will count toward qualifing. He plans on running the rounds one hour apart and will fit us in so that we stay on time. If anyone is coming from out of state he will open the gates friday and allow over night parking with no charge. If enough interest he would consider prepping track for some friday test and tune. Parking can be tight, but if you get there early its not a problem. If you let me know ahead of time that you are coming and the turn out is good he stated he might be willing to reserve spots for the quick 8 guys and gays upfront near towerm for anyone who pre-registers for the race.

muncie quick 8

Spoke with Dave the track owner last night and he is going to park all participants in the quick 8 up near the tower. he want to make this a good show. will be doing local advertisement and looking to try and get some big crowds there. Will be doing something like ADRL with twenty five dollars per car load. GRAMS racing will be paying $100.00 of the $500.00 for number one qualifier (We thank GRAMS racing for their support). There will be a practice run at 1pm that does not count toward qualifing and then 2 qualifing rounds. He is going to try and make it one hour between rounds so we can hopefully be done by 9pm. Runs to take place at 6,7,8pm. Again any car combenation is ok as long as it doesn't go below 4.30 index. If we get some guys that can run below the index Dave said he would be open to having a gamblers race on the side. Hope to see as many new face as possible. Again if you contact me ahead of time and let us know your coming it would help us prepare for parking. My cell is 317-691-1824. Feel free to call with any question.
