need racers advise

wanting to put together a race this year to be held at muncie dragway. would like to try something different. thinking at a 4.40 or 4.30 index with a pro tree. Looking at around 3,ooo for first place and so on. not sure if would be q8, 16 or 32. want some feed back on if people would be interested, what bump would be good and any other recommendations. your input will significantly help us decide on the final setup for the series at muncie. anyway you have it i think it will be fun, different and the money should be worth coming out and trying it. thanks.

I Think You Will Do Fine With The 4.30/4.40 !! More Of These Cars Out There..pending On When And What Other Races Are On That Day..and The #1 Drawing Facture $$$$$$ (payout).

I would think with a $3000 to win or more event , you would get a decent turnout with a heads up event.
I know that there are a bunch of BAD ASS cars in the Ohio area that would probably make the trip for a good size purse.
Heads up is better for the people in the stands and a lot of the guys with the 4.40 and 4.30 cars realize that it isn't always the fastest car that wins.

Doc. I'de be in for either 4.30 or 4.40. I think 4.40 would probably draw a couple more cars judging by the qualifying at the vp Q32 down at Lyons.
-8 or 16 car field as I dont think 32 cars would show.
-Non qualifiers fall into SP
-Only 2 qual passes!
-Open to any type of vehicle?

medplus quick 8

I think we have hadgood input and the 4.30 index sounds like the way to go. The entry fee will be about $150 and that will get you, your car, and crew in. The pay out will be good for a 8 car field. This may be the final pay out be subject to final changes.
#1 $2000
#2 $750
#3 $200
#4 $200
#5 $125
#6 $125
#7 $50
#8 $50

#1 qualifier $500

if no conflict (race schedule) would be interested in 4.30 heads-up

Quick Question, how will you determine 5&6 from 7&8? They all go out first round. Just thinking out loud online.

Couple other payout options.
Win: $2000
R/U: $1000
Semi: $350
T/Q: $300

OR

Win: $2000
R/U: $800
Semi: $375
5-8: $50
T/Q: $250

race is open to any style of car that wants to try and make the field. The more the merry. I also have thought about giving the entry money back to anybody who qualifies and just paying out first place and the number 1 qualifier. There will be no splitting the winnings. If this is found out then the individuals involved will be asked not to come back and will loss their winnings. We are their to see who is the best and that is what the spectors want to see.
